What a year it’s been for our newest sweep Peter!
Having joined Mr Soot as a trainee in early 2021, he quickly passed his Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps exams.
And now, following the Mr Soot Training Academy Programme, he has been been promoted to Chimney Sweep Technician having passed further Guild courses and his HETAS H003 installer course.
The latter means he becomes a HETAS-Approved Sweep.
Commenting on the news, Mr Soot owner David said: “This is fantastic news both for Peter personally and the company.
“It’s a clear sign that the Mr Soot Training Academy Programme yields results and gives our valued colleagues a well-defined career pathway.
“We have always stressed that, at Mr Soot, you don’t just have a ‘job’ – you have a career, which means investment in training and progression, This is mutually benenficial for both employee and employer.
“For instance, I’m told this latest HETAS Approved Chimney Sweep status means our Liverpool office, in Jamaica Street, L1, is the only one of its kind in the city with this accreditation.
“It joins our Manchester office, on Burton Road in Withington, M20, in being able to offer our customers in both cities – and surrounding areas – a full HETAS-Approved Chimney Sweep service.”
